There are many opportunities to help the teachers, staff and students of Parmer Lane Elementary. Let us help you find a way to get involved that fits your interests and your schedule. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer that do not require free time during the day.
Be a mentor Help with PTO fundraisers Volunteer at a PTO sponsored event Attend a PTO sponsored event Support Teacher Appreciation days Buy and Wear a PLE t-shirt Work at the school store (regular shifts, as a sub, or at the holiday sale) Volunteer for a teacher in or out of a classroom Help with school events like picture day Volunteer in the library
Watch for volunteer requests on the bulletin board, through the Yahoo Group, and in the school newsletter. To help us match volunteer opportunities to your interests and schedule, please fill out a Registration Form.
Every person who volunteers in school or at a school sponsored activity must complete a criminal background check each school year.

Current Volunteer Needs:
Art photography for Ms. McElroy. She needs assistance photographing student art to upload to Artsonia. She has the camera and can explain what to do. She may have additional projects. Time is flexible.
Picture Day is coming on October 15th. We need parent volunteers who can help keep a good flow of classed through the photographers. You will be provided with a schedule and map. Any part of the day you can give would be great! Please email board@parmerpto.com if you would like more information. |
